In today’s news, we can now add Pat McGrath and Naomi Campbell to our list of ultimate beauty power couples. A beauty icon and OG supermodel, Campbell has been named the first-ever global face of McGrath’s wildly successful makeup brand, Pat McGrath Labs.
The two have been friends and collaborators for more than two decades, so it’s not a total surprise that they’re joining forces in this way, but we’re all for making it official. For Campbell’s brand debut, she’s starring in Pat McGrath Labs’ latest film, “Divine Rose,” which spotlights her dreamy new makeup collection (pictured below) launching tomorrow.
“I am thrilled that my sister Naomi Campbell is our first official face. Naomi’s beauty is without compare, but what truly makes her special, and the ultimate McGrath Muse, is her legendary loyalty, unparalleled work ethic and sublime soul,” says McGrath. “It is an understatement to say that I consider myself blessed to call her a friend. To be a part of her luminous legacy as a trailblazer in the worlds of beauty and fashion, is truly an honor.”
Campbell is equally as enthusiastic: “Pat is my chosen family and an undeniable creative force in the beauty business who has been in my life since the early stages of my career. Pat has created a line that brings fantasy and glamour back into our daily lives and makes us dream again!”
The glamorous eight-piece collection, which McGrath calls an “avant garden of couture color,” features the beloved Mothership VII: Divine Rose Eye Palette and the new limited-edition Mothership VIII: Divine Rose II Eye Palette, which McGrath introduced in Paris at the Maison Valentino Haute Couture 2020 show. The palettes are accompanied by two limited-edition shades each of MatteTrance Lipstick, LUST: Gloss and PermaGel UltraLip Pencil.
Campbell will also star in other brand campaigns throughout the year, and will also be featured in its new virtual Masterchat series.
