Basically Everything on This Beauty Site Sells for Just $1

From viral makeup tricks on YouTube to our favorite celebrities revealing their best beauty tips on Instagram, it can be difficult for our wallets to keep up with the fresh beauty trends filling our news feeds. Luckily, we just discovered an online retailer that’s making it easier—and cheaper—to try on the trends.

The online dollar store Miss A sells affordable, quality cosmetics and accessories for makeup lovers to experiment with without breaking the bank. As much as we love the beauty mecca that is Sephora, we’ve all found ourselves wide-eyed at the register as we watch our merchandise add up. The calculations are much easier to do at Miss A because nearly all of their products cost just $1 each.

The site, which launched in 2013, also carries things like jewelry and hair accessories for $1, but quickly became popular because of its affordable makeup selection. Miss A sells products from affordable brands such as E.L.F. Cosmetics, NYX, and Kleancolor, but it also has its own cosmetics line which is continuously growing. About 20 to 30 new products are added to the site every day.

The exception to Miss A’s $1 price point is its new, higher-end a20 Lab line, which focuses on highly pigmented beauty products and offers pro-level colors. The line features liquid eye shadows, highlighters, color correctors and more. But even their price tags are far from steep. The most expensive a20 Lab product is its large empty magnetic palette which costs a whopping $7.50.

The brand is committed to offering the latest beauty trends so customers can keep up with the newest beauty must-haves on a budget. While their products aren’t the same as high-end designer offerings, Miss A’s quality is impressively good and definitely worth the price. The company keeps costs low by sourcing their products directly from the manufacturer and relying on word-of-mouth for advertising.

“We started Miss A with the vision to create a fun space for people who love makeup and beauty like myself, who just want to have fun and experiment with products and not have to worry about spending too much money. We have a unique business model where we rely on social media to get the word out, not traditional advertising, and, as a result we’re able to pass on the savings directly to our customers.” Jean Baik, founder of Miss A, wrote on the website. “Someday, I believe that everyone will see that paying higher prices doesn’t always mean that they are getting better products.”
