The iconic golden arches are getting in on the beauty game.
As reported on by Delish, McDonald’s is Japan is rolling out a fragrance that smells like the chain’s planet-famous fries.
According to FreshPlaza, the limited-edition perfume will include three fragrances inspired by the French fry seasonings—plum nori seaweed salt, garlic black pepper mayo seasoning and classic salted—available in Japan.
As expected, Reddit reviewers had mixed opinions.
“It has variations such as seaweed salt and mayo…both of which I wouldn’t really want to smell like in any context,” one commenter expressed. “But it is an interesting idea, I’d love to try them just to see how accurate it is.”
“Yuck..usually wear fragrance to get that stuff out of clothes,” posted another commenter.
This isn’t McDonald’s only move into beauty this month. In a Big Mac meets manicure move, Nails.Inc and McDonald’s rolled out a collab in early March via Target. Inspired by popular menu choices, the collection features press-on nails, stickers and a completely wearable shade of McDonald’s red.
