Exercise, in general, is great way to re-energize the body. “As the heart pumps blood, it becomes oxygenated, and as it circulates, energy levels increase,” says celebrity yoga expert Mandy Ingber, who works with Jennifer Aniston and recently made the the Yogalosophy DVD.

And yoga, because it emphasizes breathing and focus techniques along with some cardiovascular work, makes for a revitalizing way to energize the body and mind.

“The traditional back bend poses are great because they open the heart,” Ingber explains. “Anything that combines movement and breath in a fairly active series of posing activates the heart.”

Although the early morning hours are believed to be optimal for exercising, Ingber says the best way to maintain healthy energy levels is simply to be consistent about your exercise habits.
