Next time you find yourself in lululemon perusing the racks for a new pair of leggings you probably don’t need but really want (let’s be honest), there’s an exciting new product line to check out. And surprisingly, it isn’t fitness gear; it’s a five-piece, genderless, personal care-meets-beauty collection called lululemon Selfcare that’s been in the works for the past two years.
“Over the years, we’ve heard the feedback that transitioning from sweat to life isn’t always easy,” says Sun Choe, lululemon’s chief product officer, explaining that the brand spent time with athletes to determine where sweat-related skin and hair problems exist. “Lululemon has always been in the work of creating solutions for sweaty problems, and our self-care line is an extension of that approach. Like our apparel, lululemon Selfcare has been designed with function at its core and created to support guests pre- and post-workout.”
