The legendary Sarah Tanno-Stewart, Lady Gaga’s personal makeup artist, is known for her out-of-the-box looks (Gaga’s eyelash-heavy glam at the 2019 Met Gala, anyone?). While she is undoubtedly in her element with a makeup brush in hand, Tanno-Stewart also knows how to run a brand. As global artistic director of Haus Laboratories, Tanno-Stewart and her partner Gaga have created a line that not only embodies their years of wild makeup looks, but encourages customers to have fun along the way.
According to a recent release, Tanno-Stewart is adding brand founder to her long list of accolades. While we assumed her launch would be a cosmetics line, we were also pleasantly surprised to see the artist launch a sustainable beauty organization line in collaboration with iDesign, an organizational product company.
“I am so passionate about containers and organizing because it’s part of my job; I really feel like I leave more room for my creativity if I can just stay organized,” she tells Allure as she breaks down the 28-piece collection of organizers. “I wanted to try and figure out a way where it felt very customizable to the person, so no matter how big or small your space is, every product in the line looks good together.”
Made from recyclable plastic, every piece in the line can stack and click into each other in order to build the perfect storage unit for your space. “If you need to build up or you need to build wide, it doesn’t matter; we’ll have a situation for you that works,” Tanno-Stewart tells Allure. The storage containers also come in two separate colors: smoke, a dusty black, and clear. All of the pieces in the iDesign Signature Series x Sarah Tanno range from $7 to $49 and went live on amazon.com yesterday.
Tanno also tells Allure that there are more pieces to come this summer, and the duo plans to release even more in 2022. By then, our bathroom organization will be in tip-top shape.
