Completely transforming your body takes time and effort, and lots of it. If there’s one thing Khloé Kardashian’s fitness makeover show, Revenge Body, has taught us, it’s that the secret to weight loss isn’t crash diets or psychotically long workouts. Instead, getting fit demands a complete routine redesign. “It requires a lifestyle change, not just a diet,” says Revenge Body trainer Lacey Stone. “You have to learn how to eat well, find a workout that you like and find a community of people—like in a group fitness class—that will support you because it’ll be much easier to be consistent and maintain long-term results.”
Stone, who returned to season two of Kardashian’s show earlier this month, is a big believer in the fact that working hard and eating a healthy diet is the most direct route to results. “There’s no magic workout or magic trainer or magic diet,” she explains. “You’re the magic—consistency is magic.”

Even though there’s no workout that will make you drop pounds in an instant, Stone does believe certain moves are pretty much guaranteed to help transform your body. When asked if there was a workout everyone could see results from, Stone recommended sticking to the basics. “Squats and push-ups have been around forever because they work,” she explains. “And the most effective, low-impact cardio workout for everyone is spin. Running is very jarring and hard on your body, especially for people who are new to working out or looking to lose 30 pounds.”
As long as you stick to a healthy eating plan and engage in physical activity regularly—just like Lacey Stone requires her contenders on Revenge Body to do—you’ll see results in no time. As Stone reiterates, “consistency is key.”
