With sensors, a microphone, a gyroscope and so much more, the world’s first smart hairbrush is here.

Kérastase Hair Coach Powered by Withings debuted yesterday in Vegas at the CES Show, and is a recipient of this year’s International CES Innovation Award.

In collaboration with L’Oréal’s Research and Innovation Technology Incubator, the brush features Withings’ sensors and L’Oréal’s patent-pending signal analysis algorithms that work to “read” and “score” your hair.

The multiple sensors include a microphone that listens to the sound of strands, which can read when frizziness, dryness, split ends and breakage are present; three-axis load cells that measure the force applied to the hair and the scalp when brushing; an accelerometer and a gyroscope that analyze brushing patterns and count brush strokes to deliver feedback when you’re overdoing it; and conductivity sensors that can actually tell if you are brushing wet or dry hair.

All this info feeds back into an app; the brush then provides a hair-quality score, data on your brushing habits, personalized tips and Kérastase product recommendations.

It’s not available for purchase yet, but the companies say it will be available mid-2017 and will retail for $200.
