Jordana Brewster is a busy lady between her acting and modeling career (she’s the newest face of the iconic skin care brand, POND’S) and her full-time job as a loving mother and wife. But, when you meet the star (and see her youthful, flawless skin up close), you would never be able to tell that she lives such a fast-paced lifestyle. We caught up with the Furious 7 actress to learn more about her beauty ideals, what life is like off-set, and the personal tricks and products she swears by to get that picture-perfect glow.
NewBeauty: Who are your beauty icons?
Jordana Brewster: I love Sienna Miller. I think she always looks so stunning and ageless. Demi Moore—also stunning. I also love someone like Jane Birkin—just the ease that she has. My mom, obviously, and Ali MacGraw.
NB: What’s your healthiest meal of the day?
JB: Definitely breakfast because it is super balanced. I usually have an egg, a couple of egg whites, spinach, and whatever else that’s green that I can put in the egg whites. And, Ezekiel bread, which I get from Whole Foods.
NB: What’s your favorite makeup product to wear?
JB: Charlotte Tilbury makes this thing called “Supermodel Body Slimmer Shimmer.” It gives you a shimmer that’s not too much but makes a huge difference.
NB: What is the most crucial step in your skin care routine?
JB: Definitely Pond’s Rejuveness. It’s so moisturizing, and I’ve found that as I’ve gotten a bit older and depending what climate I’m in, I just need that hydration both morning and night. It has really yummy ingredients like vitamin E and collagen.
NB: What’s your go-to look when you’re not on set?
JB: I’m really lucky that I live in LA where everyone is super laid-back, so I’m usually wearing flats because I have to carry a 25-pound weight—my kid—around and I have to be very practical as far as footwear goes. I love Rag and Bone jeans and AG jeans. I love Madewell. And as far as makeup, it’s usually eyeliner, mascara, lip balm and cream blush.
NB: If you weren’t an actress, what career would you choose?
JB: Maybe a professor or a sociologist, or even an investigative reporter. I love Lisa Ling’s show on CNN where it’s a mix of sociology and reporting. Something like that would be really interesting.
NB: Tell me two truths and a lie.
JB: 1. I drink a ton of water daily for my skin. 2. I run about six times a week because I love sweating it out and it helps with stress release. 3. I have a sauna in my house that helps me steam and release toxins.
