Jillian Michaels is all about keeping her body healthy, so it’s no surprise to find that she shows this same due diligence when it comes to maintaining a skin care routine.
She shared with Shape a few of her top skin care tips, along with one key ingredient she incorporates.

“Antioxidants. I like a lot of antioxidants,” she says in the video, specifically calling out vitamin C. Instead of applying it topically, she takes a Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C supplement. “[It] tastes terrible but I take it,” she jokes. Michael adds that it’s great for after workouts to help your body recover better.
Vitamin C isn’t the only good-for-you ingredient she takes orally. She also credits other supplements like krill oil and collagen blends for her healthy, glowing skin. Drinking lots of water is another major skin care benefit she swears by. “I’ve had dermatologists tell me this is a myth, but I notice a massive difference when I’m hydrating.”
Whenever Michaels does apply anything topically, it’s always clean and natural. “No phthalates, no parfum or fragrance, and no parabens,” she specifies. Sleep is a crucial part of her overall healthy routine since skin cells repair overnight as you rest.
