Three Ways to Keep Your Skin Youthful

Think topical creams and potions are the only way to prevent the signs of aging? Think again. While anti-aging formulas certainly can’t hurt, there’s more to youthful skin than just skin care.

If you’re hitting the beach, Dr. Sobel recommends increasing your SPF to at least 30 and reapplying every two hours.
2. Diet and exercise. You know it’s good for your health, but a healthy diet and moderate exercise can also keep your skin radiant. Research suggests that regular exercise can improve circulation and boost the immune system, which can give the skin a more youthful appearance. Similarly, a balanced diet promotes healthy skin too. Eating an array of fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats will provide your skin with the variety of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and nutrients it needs for cell turnover and collagen production, free radical protection, etc.
