Curbing The Lines That Occur With Expressions

Wrinkles caused by specific muscle contractions, such as crow's-feet and frown lines, are called dynamic wrinkles. In the early stages, they are only visible when your facial muscles are at work; but as time marches on, they can become etched into your skin and visible while your face is at rest.

Botox and Dysport are the most popular procedures for lessening the muscle action that leads to specific lines and furrows before the wrinkles become a permanent fixture in the skin's surface. Once dynamic wrinkles become static wrinkles (apparent when the muscles aren't moving), only a forehead procedure or facelift can remove the excess skin that contributes to the wrinkling.

Although temporary, injectable fillers are also an option, and they generally work by restoring the skin volume underneath the wrinkle to plump it up from the inside out.

Additionally, laser resurfacing can be used to smooth more superficial lines and wrinkles.
