Can Botox Give You Wrinkles?

According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Botox and Dysport injections were the number one minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures performed in the United States last year. While injecting Botox is a science, it is also an art. Your results depend heavily on your injector.

A shot of Botox or Dysport is a surefire way to eliminate wrinkles. But could it encourage new ones? According to some doctors, using Botox in one part of the face can form wrinkles in another area. “When you treat an area with Botox, the body recruits other muscles to compensate for movement,” says San Antonio, TX, dermatologist Vivian Bucay, MD. “My approach is to soften everything, but not completely limit movement. For example, when treating frown lines or crow's-feet, I also inject the nose area to prevent bunny lines-a dead giveaway that you've had Botox.”

No wonder we see so many celebrities who look like they're imitating the nose wiggle made famous on Bewitched.

When it is injected correctly you should get an overall even appearance and still maintain some movement. Some people have bunny lines and are Botox virgins. Nikki Rasmussen, RN Nurse Injection Specialist yolomedspa.com

Even if it does (which I don't believe) the good news is you can get botox there as well! Long live injectables and eternal youth!
