Heidi Montag's Multi-Procedure Makeover
By Marci Robin |
Fans of the MTV's The Hills know that Heidi Montag has always been a pretty girl. But she didn't think so. So in 2007, she went from babe to all-out bombshell by getting a nose job and breast augmentation. But secretly, she wanted more.
In the latest issue of People magazine, Heidi goes into great detail about her recent return to the operating table, which included almost a dozen different procedures. In addition to upgrading her implants and refining her previous rhinoplasty, she opted for a chin reduction, liposuction of her waist, hips and thighs, otoplasty (having her ears "pinned back"), and a butt augmentation (it's not clear if implants were used).
Heidi's board-certified plastic surgeon also performed several procedures that aren't typical for 23-year-olds: a mini browlift, Botox, and fat injections in the nasolabial folds (as well as the lips and cheeks).
If it seems like a lot to have done at one time, you're right. But Heidi's doctor cleared her for surgery after determining her health and youth allowed for simultaneous operations. And she'd have it no other way.
"That's kind of my personality: everything at once," Heidi told People. "And I really just wanted to go under anesthesia once, instead of going under again and again." She also cited her busy aspiring-pop-star schedule as a reason.
In fact, it's her career that largely motivated her choice: "Think about the industry I'm trying to go into," she said. "I'm competing against the Britney Spearses of the world."
But Heidi (seen here before her most recent procedures) also admits that a combination of insecurity and obsession brought her back to her doctor for this extensive makeover. However, despite public criticism and concern over signs of body dysmorphic disorder, she isn't shy about making plans for future surgery.
"I'm just starting," she said. "Nobody ages perfectly, so I plan to keep using surgery to make me as perfect as I can be."
