A Scarless Facelift?
By NewBeauty Staff |
If it truly is a facelift (a procedure elevates sagging facial muscles; reduces, replaces or redistributes fat; and reduces skin to achieve a younger you), there is no way it is scarless. New techniques allow for incisions to be hidden in the hairline, and in some cases even in the lower eyelid or inside the mouth, but to truly achieve the results of a facelift of any kind, there has to be an incision somewhere.
Threads lift only the skin (1/3 of the facelift). Lasers and other tightening treatments firm the skin (not part of a facelift). Fillers plump the skin (1/3 of a facelift). Nothing can reverse the toll time and gravity take on facial muscles except to physically put them where you want them-and this requires surgery.
