Tyra Banks isn’t afraid to be honest with her fans, and her latest admission is proof of that. The 44-year-old supermodel just admitted to People that she reveals in her latest memoir, Perfect Is Boring, that she had a nose job early in her career.

“I had bones in my nose that were growing and itching,” says Banks. “I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair, and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth.”

While Banks also claims she hasn’t done any “age stuff” yet, she wouldn’t be opposed to more plastic surgery in the future. “Fix it or flaunt it—I think women should be able to do both,” she adds. “There is a boundary line, either you’re super natural or you live at the plastic surgeon. It’s OK to hop back and forth over that line.”

Finally, while Banks feels that it’s great to flaunt your natural beauty, going the “no-makeup” route isn’t exactly her style. “We place a lot of emphasis on that [trend],” she says. “As a model, I needed makeup. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. It leveled my playing field. Gisele, you don’t need it? I do! And we’re both modeling for Victoria’s Secret.

I applaud her for sharing, many celebrity’s say they have not gotten work done but it’s written all over their faces. Don’t give us beauty treatments show me what really works and looks most natural. This is why we read New Beauty because we are trying to maintain our looks without looking fake. I love it when Celebrities tell you what procedures they have had and what did and didn’t work for them. She looks beautiful and natural 😍❤️

Good for her! Still beautiful and didn’t lose her ethnic look—that’s important. Also, she looks better with some age on her. I think she’s more beautiful now than ten years ago.
