California, the land of celebrities, bikinis and blonde bombshells, is no stranger to plastic surgery. In fact, the sunshine state has the nations highest rates of forehead lifts, chin augmentations and boob jobs (to name a few) according to Forbes. But it’s not only the big screen stars having work done, housewives line up too.
Vicki Gunvalson, reality TV star from the Real Housewives of Orange County, is the latest to come out publicly about her plastic surgery makeover. The blonde mother-of-two underwent a chin augmentation as well as had fillers injected around her nose and eyes in anticipation of filming the 8th season of the hit Bravo show. It’s rumored she has had rhinoplasty as well, which would make sense as chin and nose augmentation often work successfully together.
Chin implants have become extremely popular in the last few years. According to the ASPS, in 2011 chin augmentation procedures grew more than both liposuction and Botox injections combined. Women with weak jawlines tend to like them as they add more definition to the face and can help an aging face look more youthful since this area tends to sag as the years go by.
