I’ve gone to the same dentist since I was 3. My grandparents went to him, my parents went to him and now I go to him whenever it’s time for my twice-a-year checkup. I’ll be 32 this year and I’ve never had a cavity, so whatever he or I-or the combination of both-is doing is working, and I’m not about to shake up the process.
Unfortunately, like most long-term relationships, my dentist has no qualms about being completely honest with me when I’m doing something he doesn’t like. He likes to check-in periodically regarding what I’m doing to my smile to make sure, as he puts it, “I’m not getting caught up in the hype and ruining my teeth.”
At any rate, I think after many years of debate we have finally reached something we can both agree on: Crest’s new 3D White Advanced Vivid Enamel Renewal Toothpaste. I love it because it gets rid of stains and leaves my teeth sparkly; he loves it because it fights cavities, tartar, plaque and helps strengthen enamel. Who knew that one tube of toothpaste could do so much (and please so many people)?
