As a beauty editor, it’s bizarre to me that I went over 30 years without getting a mini Mary Kay makeover. (Isn’t it a rite of passage?) But I recently found myself willingly barefaced, seated across from Darlene Misciagno, Mary Kay maven, who took me through an impressive array of skincare and makeup that I’d never tried before.
Even though I liked just about everything that came in contact with my face, one product in particular jumped out at me as a must-have: Cheek Glaze.
I’m such a lip balm addict that I sometimes wear tinted ones on my cheeks, but Cheek Glaze is essentially lip balm made for your cheeks. Made with skin-loving ingredients like watermelon seed oil, peach, mandarin orange peel oil and vitamin E, it practically flows on with its super-smooth application.
Instead of the traditionally matte finish of powder blush, Cheek Glaze leaves a dewy finish that makes my complexion glow in a perfectly summery way. I picked the Tangerine shade because it seems made for my fair skin, but each of the limited-edition hues are fabulously flattering.
You can order it from any Mary Kay sales rep, but if you don’t already know one, I’m sure Darlene would be happy to help!
