There are multitasking beauty products, and then there is U Beauty Resurfacing Compound. If you’re looking for that one does-it-all product to add to your routine–brand founder Tina Craig calls it her “one and done”—this is it. And today, you can try it in this week’s installment of BeautyPass’s Free Gift Friday (you’ll receive the 30 ml size, valued at $148).

In an effort to streamline her own personal routine, Craig, an OG fashion blogger, aka Bag Snob, wanted to create something that combined all her skin-care steps into one—serum, toner, exfoliator and essence—aside from moisturizer. This heavy-hitting serum became the winning formula after Craig’s friends and family tested many iterations, and sold out in less than 48 hours when it launched on Net-a-Porter in 2019.

The gel-like serum boasts an impressive list of ingredients, including retinol, stabilized vitamins C and E, glycolic acid, mandelic acid, hyaluronic acid, glutathione, aloe and witch hazel. Craig somehow managed to blend them in a way that produces transformative results—think “glass skin”; just look at Craig’s complexion—but without harsh side effects, thanks to an advanced technology called SIREN Capsules. This allows high-level actives to be released in only the damaged areas of skin that need repair, rather than all over where they might negatively impact healthy tissue. However, the serum is heavy-duty and includes retinol, so it’s important to apply it at night only, use it in conjunction with moisturizer to avoid dryness, and always wear sunscreen during the day.

Results are nearly instant—I see smoother, brighter skin the next morning, but the brand promises revitalized-looking skin within three to six days—and continue to improve over time as well. The clinical trial results don’t lie either: At the 30-day mark, users experienced a 194-percent increase in elastin expression, a 77-percent decrease in visible wrinkles, a 45-percent increase in brightness (it’s great for dark spots) and a 42-percent decrease in visible pores.
