Ten years ago, if you had told me that I would not only shell out $30 for a foundation brush, but that I’d also encourage the rest of the web-surfing world to do the same, I would have said you were crazy. The older I get, however, the more I realize that some of these cosmetic tools do exist for really good reasons.
The first foundation brush I ever purchased was from Prescriptives, and I still use it today. Aside from its durability, I really enjoy how the brush glides across my skin. It has the right amount of stiffness to evenly spread my foundation, so I’m not focused on clumps and streakiness. The brush itself is dense and soft, and the hairs are layered, which makes for great distribution. The handle is sturdy without being obnoxious, and I find that it’s easy to maneuver.
Between the handle, the density and the layered bristles, I can cover all the angles of my face, and I don’t find myself having to use as much product to do so.
