Although I don’t spend a great deal of time getting ready for work, I do carefully plan out what products I’ll use. The key here is looking good in a low-maintenance kind of way. I don’t want to lug around a huge purse full of “what if” products.
Every once in a while, though, and without warning, one of my fingernails will choose to complicate my day by snagging or tearing. I beat myself up thinking, I should have packed a “what if” purse. My compromise has been to stow a big, bulky cardboard nail file, but it tends to leave “bits” at the bottom of my bag; or worse, it ends up rubbing against something that doesn’t appreciate its coarseness, such as my soft, leather wallet.
