New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013 may be over, but the trends we saw have left a lasting impact. And we’re not just talking about the fashion trends—it’s the beauty trends we’re most excited to try! Here are three that caught our eyes:
Some designers went sleek and some went tousled, but it’s safe to say that low ponytails dominated the runway. Some of our favorite looks came from the Alexander Wang, Tadashi Shoji and Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2013 shows. To create the look at Tadashi, Rodney Cutler of Cutler/Redken Salon saturated the hair with hair spray, loosely brushed it back and secured it in a low ponytail leaving volume at the crown. While nail art was huge on the runway, many models also sported metallic gold nails. A few of our favorites came from Rebecca Taylor, who chose “Screaming Bright” by M.A.C. ($16), and Lela Rose, who went for “Good as Gold” by Essie ($8).
Nude Lip Color
Aside from bold brows, many designers chose nude lip colors to go along with their collections. Charlotte Ronson went for Sephora Rouge Shine Lipstick in Tenderness ($12) and DKNY got the look using Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched ($4).
