We’ve seen her do everything from erase pimples with wasabi and diaper cream to getting rid of dandruff with Listerine, and now Canadian beauty vlogger Farah Dhukai is taking the beauty world by storm again. In her latest Instagram post (see video below) for her more than 5.7 million followers, she shares a simple (and super cheap!) way to make a hair mask using just two products, which she claims turns her strands into silky beach waves overnight.

In the post, which has been viewed nearly 2 million times and reposted by beauty guru Huda Kattan, Dhukai writes: “I know how much you guys love multi-purpose DIYS…so you KNOW I had to drop one of the easiest and most EFFECTIVE DIYS of all time! It takes just 2 ingredients and is as little as $3.00 and it’ll TRANSFORM your hair and skin!! You’ll get the shiniest, softest, frizz-free hair of all time (and you’ll be “on trend” with the wet hair look) and your skin will be so hydrated and bright and clear!! hOwW?!?”

The two ingredients she used? Aloe vera and sweet orange essential oil (or any essential of your choice). To make the mask, Dhukai says to “scoop all the goodness out of the aloe leaf in blender,” add 10 drops of essential oil and blend.” She notes that at first the concoction might “seem like it’s not blending and look like it’s a blob,” but after a minute or so it will develop a water-like consistency. Then pour it into a spray bottle and apply it like leave-in conditioner to wet or dry hair.

“Apply as much as you want and it WON’T make your hair look greasy,” writes Dhukai. “If you’re blessed with natural beautiful waves u don’t have 2 braid ur hair…but I’m not so lucky ? It gives you a shiny wet hair wavy look that’s been so trendy lately!!”

When you’re done, Dhukai notes that you can store store whatever is left in your refrigerator for up to two weeks, and even use it as a serum or moisturizer for your face, but make sure to do a patch test first.
