If you don’t know her already, Lorna Jane Clarkson is a woman to be reckoned with. Her “healthy living” empire has taken the fitness world (and Instagram) by storm. While most are probably familiar with her range of super stylish active wear that bares her name, she’s also quite the natural beauty guru.
Next month, she is releasing a new book, INSPIRED, complete with DIY beauty treatments, healthy recipes, fitness tips and much, much more. We got a chance to chat with her about the upcoming release and get two exclusive beauty recipes before they are released to the public.
On her beauty philosophy…
“My philosophy on beauty boils down to this: keep it simple and as close to nature as possible. I believe, without a doubt, that the biggest and best beauty secrets are to nourish your body with good food, move your body every day and have the confidence to believe in yourself, plus, wear sunscreen and be sure to get plenty of water and sleep. I’m a big believer in daily exfoliation and I dry body brush every morning to boost my lymphatic system before showering. I also use a gentle exfoliator on my face daily. I find exfoliation to be essential for radiant beauty because it speeds up cell renewal to give you fresher, smoother and more youthful-looking skin. You’ll find several recipes within INSPIRED that truly speak to my philosophy, including a DIY Beauty Body Scrub, Active Amino Acid Hair Mask, natural face masks and more.”
On why she wrote Inspired…
“I wrote this book because I feel that it relates to women of all ages who want to get more out of their lives. I had been thinking about writing this book for quite some time, and it was our customers who encouraged me to focus on inspiration.
