Brow crimes. What are they? When eyebrows are over-tweezed, under-tweezed, too short, sparse, misshapen, badly drawn or the wrong shade. These “crimes” against our face can happen to even the best of us, but there is hope.
While good eyebrows can define our eyes and bring balance to our face, bad eyebrows can drastically affect our appearance-making us look old or like we are in a constant state of surprise. It’s time to start righting these wrongs. Or at least that’s what New York’s BrowHaus, an eyebrow salon in SoHo, is out to do.
Brow Resurrection is their exclusive semipermanent solution to brow crimes. The treatment, a type of eyebrow embroidery, constructs a brow for you from root to tip using detailed strokes and all-natural vegetable dye to fill your brown in and out. Your new brow is created by hand, as each strand is literally drawn on and custom-made to suit your unique bone structure.
Different from the old permanent eyebrow tattooing of the 70s and 80s, this technique can last up to two years and won’t fade in color. It’s also supposedly not very painful. If you live in New York, a full brow will run you $925, but it looks like this technique of eyebrow embroidery is starting to take off and could be available at a salon near you.
