Facial Plastic Surgeon
17720 Jean Way, Suite 100, Lake Oswego, OR, 97035
My goal is to create surgical results that appear natural and appropriate for each and every patient.

Patient dedication and hard work shows in every aspect of Dr. Mark A. Petroff’s practice. At his AAAHC-accredited facility, he offers a full spectrum of specialized care in a safe, private and comfortable setting. The onsite, result–oriented medi-spa has a full menu of nonsurgical treatments that not only help patients look better, but also promote healing after a procedure. “We earn our patients’ confidence by delivering the most comprehensive care, the best possible surgical results and the most satisfying overall experience,” says Dr. Petroff. “We tailor our treatment to each individual’s needs and always provide the most honest, realistic assessment of the outcome you can expect.”

A Minute With

  1. My motto
    Kindness is beautiful
  2. Most memorable patient reactions
After a rhinoplasty, when a patient tears up once I remove the splint or when they comment on how easy their recovery was
  3. What sets my practice apart
I personally perform all injectables myself. A lot of facilities offer injectables by practitioners who have not been trained as to how the specific facial muscles work. This is required for correctly administering Botox Cosmetic and fillers
  4. What is the future of your field?
Continued nonsurgical options for facial rejuvenation. However there will never be a real substitute for expert surgical treatment of the nose, face and neck
  5. How i put patients at ease
By providing a beautiful environment, a caring staff and individual attention to each patient
  6. When to consider a facelift
When you think you look old, tired or angry but in fact you feel great
  7. Three words that best describe me
    Confident, calm, detailed
  8. Three things everyone should do before surgery
Experience, training and artistic ability matter in this field. Check certifications, ask questions and look closely at before-and-after images. There will never really be a substitute for anatomically sound surgical rejuvenation of the nose, face and neck
  9. My ultimate skin-care advice
I recommend topical vitamins A, C and E to help fight free radicals and reverse sun damage
  10. What are you best known for?
Honesty and natural-looking results. I treat my patients how I would like to be treated. Not everyone is a candidate for all procedures. I am honest in my assessments
  11. How do you ensure patient safety?
Our surgery center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), for meeting the highest standards of quality and safety. We are also certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and belong to the Oregon Patient Safety Commission
  12. How does your staff enhance your practice?
The longevity of our knowledgeable staff allows us to deliver continuity and superior care
  13. What nonsurgical trends are you seeing in your practice?
Exciting new injectable options that can be performed alone or used to enhance surgical results
  14. Why do you employ a less-is-more philosophy?
In general, good results speak quietly. Patients want to enhance their appearance while looking natural and refreshed
  15. What new services are you excited to offer?
Our convenient online store for our patients to purchase our skin care products and services. We are also excited to offer BBL™ and Halo™ laser treatments in our medi-spa to help reverse skin aging
  16. Career-defining procedure
Rhinoplasty—no nose is the same. I enjoy the challenge of a difficult nose and take great pride in creating a natural-looking rhinoplasty that will appear true to a patient’s ethnicity and facial proportion
  17. What is the biggest misconception patients have?
Cosmetic procedures are only for the wealthy and privileged client. We see all demographics and ethnicity
