About My Practice
What makes your practice so unique?
My plan was to make it a completely modern dental practice where we use the highest advanced technology. We have five 3D scanners; we take full head X-rays for implant placement; and have a robotic dental assistant that comes around and gives instructions on what to expect after surgery or a root canal. It can also serve water to patients while sharing directions on how to take medication. It’s called Temi and we are the first dental office to have this technology. Patients love it because they feel like it's sanitary, it's up to date, and they expect the highest level of care from us.

A Minute With
How have you helped to make dental care more accessible to patients?
We offer in-house membership options since we do everything from surgery to cosmetic treatments, the A to Z of dentistry. A lot of patients think that dental insurance is a prerequisite for them to get the smile they’ve always wanted, and we don’t believe you should need insurance to go to a dentist. Many times, people will fear that they cannot afford dental treatment or it's too expensive. We made it affordable with a small monthly payment so patients can get access to what they need, including routine cleanings. We want to make this a pleasant experience and give them the highest quality care.
How do you help alleviate patient fears?
I know it can be intimidating and such a unique experience. One minute you’re meeting a stranger for the first time and the next minute they’re looking inside your mouth, which is a very sensitive area. There are also a lot of childhood fears that stem from going to the dentist. So, a lot of that we try to do is alleviate those fears one by one, making sure that the patient understands that we're completely here for them and for their comfort. Usually, people are afraid that they're not being fully taken care of. If you feel like someone's interest doesn’t match your own, you can feel uneasy. So, the first step is establishing trust and making sure the patient understands that their comfort is our number-one priority.

What procedure is currently trending at your practice? What our experts say:
Right now, Invisalign is trending heavily with our millennial patients. Our average Invisalign patient is 32 years old, and we’re finding that people are going back to if it’s been a long time since they wore braces and haven’t continued wearing a retainer, or never actually wore their retainers in the first place. There’s also something called mesial shift that happens to women as they age. The bone on the front of the mandible starts to become thinner as we get older and the lower teeth start to shift, so some people will start to see that their straight lowers are becoming more crooked. There are so many Invisalign options, the treatment can be done in under six months or three months, or they can be worn for up to two years, depending on really advanced treatments. Invisalign is cool in that you can do you can do anything as simple as a really benign procedure to something super advanced like an underbite or overbite.
