Philosophy

Striving to deliver the most natural-looking enhancements, Harvard-educated, board-certified dermatologist Dr. Lynne Haven is happy to be practicing at a time when technological advancements allow her to offer noninvasive and relatively pain-free solutions for her patients. “Today is a very exciting time in the field of dermatology,” says Dr. Haven. “We have a greater understanding of the causes of facial aging and a wide range of effective, new procedures and techniques. Through a combination approach, we can achieve a natural, balanced, beautiful result.” From injectables and lasers to devices for nonsurgical skin tightening and body contouring, she is able to address her patients’ common complaints and restore facial volume, improve skin texture, soften acne scars, treat excess fat, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles for a younger, fresher look.

A Minute With

  1. Career-defining procedure

The development of Thermage for noninvasive skin tightening dramatically changed the way we could treat the aging face. Now there are Thermage procedures to tighten other areas such as the eyelids, arms, thighs and abdomen

  2. What is your favorite laser procedure?

My favorite laser procedure for facial rejuvenation is the PicoSure. It dramatically reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and skin discoloration. It can also be used for laser tattoo removal, stretch marks and improving skin texture

  3. What are your most requested procedures?

    The most popular procedures in
    my practice are Botox Cosmetic,
    dermal fillers including Juvéderm®
    and Juvéderm Voluma, Thermage
    for skin tightening, the PicoSure
    laser for skin rejuvenation,
    CoolSculpting for fat reduction
    and Emsculpt for muscle building

  4. How are you helping to advance the field at large?

I spend time teaching, lecturing and training other physicians in my field on dermatology and aesthetic procedures

  5. What are you doing differently today for facial rejuvenation?

We have a greater understanding of the causes of facial aging and we have a wide range of effective, new procedures and techniques. Through the use of combination treatments including lasers, Botox Cosmetic and fillers, we can achieve a natural, balanced, beautiful result

  6. Why is giving back so important to you?

I have been so fortunate to have had mentors and positive role models, that I want to do the same for others

  7. What advancements are you most excited about?

    Emsculpt and Emsella utilize
    an exciting new technology
    to non-invasively stimulate
muscles. Emsculpt can be used to
    strengthen muscles in the glutes,
abdomen, arms and calves, and can
    simultaneously reduce fat in the
area treated. Emsella can be used to
    strengthen the pelvis floor muscles.
