Philosophy
With more than 13 years in practice, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. David R. Alfonso has performed thousands of body transformations, and according to the surgeon, today’s body-contouring procedures are so much easier to undergo. “In addition to having a 360-degree approach when we’re sculpting and reshaping the body so we’re not just addressing the front, we’ve also made huge progress in accelerating the healing and recovery process, which translates to less downtime,” he explains. “We perform Fast-Trak breast augmentations, which is a way of minimizing tissue trauma during implant placement, and provide post care techniques that help patients get back to feeling normal, faster.” Dr. Alfonso also employs high-resolution ultrasound and TAP block anesthesia to control postoperative pain. “Many of my patients can get through recovery without narcotics, which is an amazing advancement,” he says.
