Celebrity endorsed weight loss programs are nothing new, but recently, a pregnant Jessica Simpson signed a $3 million deal with Weight Watchers to immediately begin the program once she gives birth. Too soon? Maybe.
Also joining the weight loss battle is Janet Jackson, who announced that she is the new face of Nutrisystem. After a life-long struggle with her body image, the superstar finally opened up and is ready to do what she believes is her true calling-to help others. While she refuses to talk about the current weight she’s at and what she plans to lose, her reason actually makes sense. She doesn’t want people to be fixated on a number because the goal should be health, not appearance.
