Facial serums aren’t that new to the skincare scene, but they sure are more popular than they ever have been. And it’s about time you start incorporating one into your routine. Serums are thinner than creams or lotions, allowing them to absorb more quickly and they tend to have a higher concentration of powerful ingredients than other products.
Anti-aging serums range anywhere from about $20 to more than $100, and include vitamins, antioxidants and/or acids to deliver results such as fewer wrinkles, firmer skin, a brighter complexion and protection from environmental pollutants.
I recently discovered GreenBeauty Youth Boost Facial Serum ($38), an extremely lightweight yet powerful serum infused with apple stem cell, which is touted for its wrinkle-busting ability. The serum also includes a bevy of natural ingredients-vitamin A and C for luminosity, amla fruit for glow, green tea for its antioxidants and licorice root to brighten the skin.
Some serums are a bit aggressive, making your skin uncomfortably tight, but GreenBeauty’s glides on leaving skin simply feeling healthy and awake. Plus, the fragrance reminds me of natural health stores back home in San Francisco-earthy and botanical. By my second week using GreenBeauty, I’ve been pleased with a more youthful glow and clearer skin. Here’s to results!
