We’ve previously coined beauty trade-show juggernaut Cosmoprof as “Sephora on steroids,” and it still stands true in the 2017. Rows and rows of products, loads and loads of beauty spectators, and a whole lot of walking prove that oils are everywhere, natural is not going anywhere, masks are big (even ones you can eat!) and face-ironing is now a thing. Here are the 10 most unique launches we discovered in this year’s installment.

Kocostar Blue Lip Mask
K-beauty brand Kocostar is known for its kitschy mega-hydrating masks, and its latest product—a baby blue minty-fresh Lip Mask—is no exception. It looks semi-crazy while you have it on, but once you take it off, the result of pillow-soft, slightly plumped, seriously moisturized lips (plus the lingering taste of peppermint) won’t make you think twice about using again.
This Australian coconut oil–centered line isn’t available in the U.S. quite yet, but thanks to the magic of the Internet, you can still order it for delivery to the states. Pretty packaging, incredible scents and convenient squeeze pouches make it fun; the fact that it uses a high concentration of 100-percent certified-organic coconut oil in all the formulations make it functional.
Dermelect may be known for its healthy nail products, but now the line is getting in the makeup game in a BIG way with lots of new color that plays up the convenience factor. Two of our favorites: the easy-to-use Revitalite Brow Lift, a dual-sided defining-highlighter that’s like beauty sleep in a stick, and the four-in-one lip products ($20), which somehow do the job of a soft matte stain and major stay-put hydrator all in one swipe.
This holistic skin care line from Finland is, in a word, fun. As the name suggests, the therapeutic formulas are supposed to “boost your mood,” but with botanical extracts and natural antioxidants, you can also be sure the products are delivering something solid to your skin. (Bonus: The line also makes “supplements,” chocolate squares that have a host of benefits, including one with lavender that helps you fall asleep.)
Another import brand that’s breaking into the U.S. via “mood-boosting benefits,” Prismologie makes the kind of products you want to design your house around. Yes, they’re gorgeous, but each shade and scent—which rival even the most decadent of perfumes—also provide powerful chromotherapy (i.e. color therapy) and aromatherapy benefits.
We lauded the praises of Battington’s just-launched app last month, and, from the looks of how busy their booth was, we aren’t the only ones who think this is the most genius way ever to try on fake eyelashes before you buy. They still look as believable and luxurious as ever, but now you can mix it up depending on what look you love.
Offering some very high-tech facials and effective eco-friendly ingredients, Sonage’s entire product offering is carving out a space in the “new natural” category. The latest: a hydroquinone-free lightening serum that successfully diminishes dark spots and hyperpigmentation without any toxic chemicals.
One look at CEO and founder Mina Scumaci’s voluminous hair will have you asking, “Where did you get your hair blown out?” Her secret: These 100-percent boar bristle rollers (she created them because she doesn’t think Velcro rollers do the trick) and a few-days-old hair. Depending on your hair type, you roll them up with some dry shampoo and give them a quick blast of hot air. You honestly won’t believe how good of a style they deliver.
