We all love a good sweepstakes and the more exotic the prize, the more excited we get. Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City just announced its Nip, Tuck and Lift Sweepstakes, which will provide the winner (to be selected October 29) with $25,000 worth of plastic surgery. Wait. Plastic surgery as a prize? We have to wonder: Does that send the right message? This isn’t like getting a new car or going on a luxury vacation. Patients who choose to undergo plastic surgery should do so after careful thought and research—not on a whim fueled by a chance to win a raffle. What’s your stance? Does a cosmetic surgery prize encourage plastic surgery unnecessarily?
