TV and film regular Chris Diamantopoulos—he plays the villain opposite The Rock, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds in Red Notice, which had the biggest opening day for any Netflix film in its history, and can currently be seen in the True Story series, opposite Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes—never discounts the power of good skin. “I’ve been acting my whole life, and I’ve learned that your tools as an actor are pretty limited,” the 46-year-old shares. “The better you know them, the more confidently and freely you can go out and perform. My face, my skin, they’re one of my main tools.”

“I follow my wife’s lead [Chris is married to actress Becki Newton] and she has the most beautiful skin. I wasn’t blessed with beautiful skin; I had acne as a kid, I had big pores, and I still do, but I work with what I’ve got. I found a facialist in Los Angeles, Frankie Paige, and she does really, really great work keeping my skin clean. Her Balance Toner ($37) is amazing and her BFF Spot Treatment ($35) is completely indispensable.”

“When I’m playing a basic guy like myself, I like to use a bronzing gel. I like Tom Ford Bronzing Gel ($55).That adds just a little bit of color without looking ridiculous, and it evens out my skin tone.”

PCA’s Hyaluronic Boosting Serum ($120) is magic. It keeps my skin feeling good, feeling hydrated. Because I have a tendency to break out here and there, I use a face wash by Image Skincare called Clear Cell ($33).”

“Occasionally, I’ll use a couple of drops of iS Clinical’s Pro-Heal Advance ($158), which really brightens things up on a red-carpet day.”

“For my hair, it’s really simple. I hop out of the shower, and I throw in some old-school Supremo Magic Move ($20). It’s been around forever, but it works wonders for my hair. For my body, I like Aesop. I love the Reverence Aromatique Hand Lotion Balm ($97). That’s my situation.”

“Because we’ve been home so much more and we live in Los Angeles, I’ve been getting a lot more sun by virtue of being outside and playing with the kids; I use TIZO sunscreen ($48)or Clear Choice sunscreen ($30).”

7 / 7

“I respect what hair and makeup teams do on-set and there have been instances where I needed a full hair and makeup department to really help me get into that character. But, in general, I find that less is more in regards to makeup for me on-screen. So, for the last 15 years, I’ve been doing my own hair and makeup when it’s just me looking like a regular guy.”
