She may be the queen of effortless chic, but Charlize Theron says maintaining her gorgeous looks is a daily undertaking, and as one would expect, it’s not cheap. The notoriously down-to-earth star opened up to Harper’s Bazaar about the exact products she uses in her day-to-day routine, and although she says applying her Dior fragrance is a “slice of luxury,” the other products in her beauty arsenal are equally as posh.

To start the day, Theron uses either the affordable La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Light Sunscreen ($30), or the not-so-affordable La Prairie Cellular Radiance Emulsion SPF 30 ($525), to protect her skin from the harmful effects of the sun. For anti-aging, she adds a few more steps. “I use serum, eye cream and a really good moisturizer,” said the 43-year-old actress. But it’s not just any serum or moisturizer, the mother of two says she reaches for La Mer to keep her skin hydrated. “I like to try new products, but there are ones I always go back to, like Crème de la Mer ($85), you know, the classics.”
When she’s not going in for regular treatments with celebrity facialist Mila Moursi—she gets one every three weeks—the Oscar winner swears by Moursi’s Rejuvenating Serum ($365).
But luxe isn’t the only way to go, to keep her hair and eyebrows shiny and strong, Theron reaches for Kate Blanc Pure Castor Oil ($10), a product you can easily nab on Amazon. “Someone told me about it. I put it on my brows and scalp once or twice a week,” she adds. “It’s definitely made my hair thicker.”
While the grand total adds up to a little over $1,000 for her daily must-haves, it seems like small change by Hollywood standards. What’s most revealing about Theron’s daily routine is that the naturally stunning star is just as obsessed with a good skin-care routine as the rest of us. Stars, they’re just like us!
