Making miracles happen may seem like the stuff of fantasies, but for CEO of the Elevate Prize Foundation—a nonprofit supporting and funding social impact entrepreneurs—Carolina García Jayaram, it’s a full-time job. When she’s not changing the world, a morning meditation and evening foot rub will do.
Wind Down
“The perfect night is when my husband and I are in bed together decompressing from the day and talking about life. We give each other foot rubs and read our books. A little reading, a little talking, and a little touch and play are all great ways to wind down.”
Life Leader
At the Elevate Prize Foundation, fostering the next generation of leaders is an inside-out experience. “When looking at areas of support for these leaders, I was able to integrate practices that have been very powerful for me, like yoga, breath work and the overall inward journey of getting us to a more peaceful state. It’s the philosophy of the whole leader.”
Slow Rise
“I try to begin my morning with meditation. I do a simple breath work routine called pranayama, followed by a 20 to 30-minute Loving Kindness meditation. I have small children, so waking up before them and getting that meditation in is key.”
Glow Team
“I can’t live without SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic. That’s really great for my skin. My big splurge product is always Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream. It’s so good, and I find that I need other products less when I’m using it. I also love Dr Sebagh Masks. A good eye cream is important, too.”
Happy Place
“Biarritz in the south of France is one of my favorite places in the world. My family and I go every summer, and it really is our happy place. India, though, is where my heart is. That’s where the happiness in my soul comes from.”
Holistic Healer
“Kia Condorousis is someone I’ve been working with for 20 years, and she does everything from reiki to body work and massages—it’s all amazing. She does body work with me to open up my chakras and target deep tissue. She’s a really powerful healer.”
