Wouldn’t it be great if you could take fat from an area where it’s unwanted, like your thighs or tummy, and move it to a fat-deficient area like your breasts? Well, one day, you may have that option.
Doctors are currently experimenting with fat for breast augmentation. Currently, fat transfer to the breast is used primarily for reconstructive purposes and to fix rippling caused by implants. However, this technique still has a ways to go before it’s widely accepted as an augmentation method.
Plastic surgeons need to first find a way to use the fat to shape and contour the breast as opposed to just filling the breast with it.
