Grab a pack of Veggie Patch Falafel Chickpea Balls to top off your salad or add to a pita with tzatziki dip. And because they’re baked, four pieces at 150 calories won’t affect your waistline!
Last, look to the sea for healthy snacks. Seaweed is full of vitamins, minerals and amino acids needed for healthy and youthful skin. “It also helps to slow the aging skin process while protecting it from the harsh environmental elements in the air and water,” says Batayneh. The selenium and ascorbic acid protects the skin from damaging free radicals and the organic iodine found in seaweed increases your metabolism. Seaweed also contains fatty acids to combat skin irritation and inflammation.” To get your seaweed fix, try Trader Joe’s Roasted Seaweed Snack (99¢).
