Over the years, self-tanners have gotten more advanced. Manufacturers have found better ways to track where you’re putting it, improve the smell, etc. But despite plenty of promises, it seems self-tanners just can’t correct that telltale orange tone-until now.

DuWop may have finally found the way to produce a faux tan that’s more golden than orange, and oddly enough, it involves a third, unexpected color: blue. That’s the tint of their new Clear Revolotion shimmering self-tannner.

The blue serves not only as a guide to show you how evenly you’re applying the formula, but also as counteraction to prevent orange tendencies.

Clear Revolotion is a standout for other reasons, too: in addition to a built-in subtle shimmer, its made with a long list of botanical extracts, including arnica, lavender, chamomile, lemon, lime and ylang ylang.

It may be the first of its kind, but we have a feeling other self-tanners will enter a blue period.
