Is This Little Beauty Guru Way Too Young for Makeup?

Have you ever finished applying your makeup, looked in the mirror and thought, “It looks like a child applied this eyeliner!” Well, you may never say those words again after seeing this little beauty wonder in action. Bella-Rose is a 6-year-old beauty aficionado from Sydney, Australia who has recently gained a lot of attention on social media for short tutorial videos that show her yielding her beautyblender like a pro. Watching her apply her fake lashes will put anyone who has lived the false lash struggle to shame.

Bella-Rose was first introduced to makeup lovers by her older sister's friend, makeup artist Emily Louise. Louise has shared clips and videos on Instagram and YouTube of Bella-Rose expertly applying (yes, expertly) her "face" using a long list of products normally reserved for those above the age of 13, including foundation, blush, bronzer, highlighter, eye shadow, mascara and lashes. Seriously, this kid’s makeup stash is no joke.

In her most recent video, Bella-Rose takes on a trending YouTube challenge to create a look using only highlighting products. While some viewers applaud the child wonder’s skill and precision, others are quick to point out that she is too young for makeup and place blame on her parents and Emily Louise for allowing the child to grow up too fast. One commenter wrote, “Kids should be kids, such a sad video.” Another had much stronger words, adding, “This is child abuse. She should be taken away from her parents. This is sick.”

While everyone might not be on board, the majority of viewers applaud Bella-Rose's talent and think her videos are just child’s play. “This is sooooo adorable! I hope by the time my little girl is her age, I can afford all that amazing makeup,” wrote one commenter. Whatever side of the “is she too young?” debate you end up on, you can’t deny this girl could give us all a few lessons. One YouTuber said it best when she wrote,  “When a 6-year-old applies mascara more skillfully than your 22-year-old self. Where am I going wrong?”
