What The Stylist Says
“I wanted Jessica’s hair to look chic yet effortless,” says her hairstylist Davy Newkirk. “And this style works really well with her highlights because it allows you to see much more of the texture and dimension.”
Newkirk says that this look works for both day and night. “I love effortless hair with a formal dress at an evening event, as long as it is accompanied by great makeup. Jessica’s makeup is always on point.”

How To Get The Look
While your hair is still wet, use a volumizing spray on your roots and apply a little bit
of smoothing oil from your mid-lengths down to your ends to keep hair frizz-free. Then blow-dry with a diffuser.
Take random sections of hair and curl them with a styling tool such as FHI Runway Pure Ceramic Digital Hand Touch Hair Styling Iron, a 1-inch ceramic styler. The iron’s floating and beveled plates create glamorous waves and curls,
while eliminating frizz and helping to maximize shine. $600, fhiheat.com
Run your fingers through the waves and add a bit of sea salt spray for a boost in texture. Lightly blow-dry as you use your hands to scrunch a few sections so that the curls look more natural. Finish off with flexible hairspray.
