1. The FDA has now cleared Ultherapy Décolletage Treatment, making it the only non-invasive procedure specifically indicated by the FDA to improve lines and wrinkles on the chest. 2. In honor of the 20th anniversary of Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction, Urban Decay has launched a five-piece makeup line inspired by Uma Thurman’s character, Mia Wallace. The line includes a nail polish, lipstick, lip liner, eyeliner and five-color eye shadow palette. It will be available from Sephora, Ulta and Urban Decay starting July 16.
3. Consumer Report has warned against using spray sunscreen on children. Spray sunscreens are popular among parents (and consumers in general) because they are easy to apply. However, the FDA is currently researching the safety of inhaling fumes from spray sunscreens, and Consumer Report believes the products could potentially cause asthma or allergy attacks in children. This comes in addition to previous concerns over uneven coverage when using a spray sunscreen and its reduced effectiveness in windy conditions.
4. Glamsquad, the app that allows women in the New York area to call a blow-dry professional to their homes, has added a makeup service. A woman who calls the service will have a professional makeup artist come to her house where she will be able to choose from 6 different looks. For more, check out the app’s feature in InStyle.
