The Five Simple Steps to a Cat Eyeliner Look
By Marissa Hicken |
Although, they are currently seen on one red carpet after the next, sexy cat eyes go back to the days of Audrey Hepburn’s Hollywood and earlier. If you haven’t tried a cat-eye liner look before, it might seem intimidating but you’d be surprised to learn just how easy it is to create and pull off. We got it down to five easy steps for a foolproof application.
Step 1: Apply foundation like you normally would and don’t forget your eyelids. This will give you a base for your liquid eyeliner for maximum grip.
Step 2: Pull your eyelid taut. Start from the middle of your upper lash line and draw a line to the outer corner of your eye.
Step 3: Go to the inner corner of your eye and with the same technique draw a line back to the middle where you started.
Step 4: To make the wing, start from how far out you’d like it to go and draw one line back to your outer eye corner.
Step 5: Now, draw another line to create the desired shape and fill in the wing.
