Coming from a small town in the Midlands of England, Cat Deeley became a household name in America in 2006 when she debuted as the host of the hit show So You Think You Can Dance. Today, Deeley’s quirky English humor and girl-next-door looks have millions of fans mesmerized. So how did she go from an everyday English model to a blonde Los Angeles bombshell?

“In this business, you’re always under a microscope and so much emphasis is placed on looks,” says Cat. So the first and foremost beauty duty she adopted was religious teeth whitening. “Yellow teeth are the last thing I want! Having a white smile gives me the confidence to be in the spotlight and smile through anything,” she says about why her Crest Whitestrips have become such a staple.

Her hair color and cut is also strikingly different since calling California her home. In the past, Cat had brassy highlights and kinked shoulder length hair. Now, it is long, wavy and perfectly sun-kissed. To keep it up, she gets it cut and colored every four to six weeks at Sally Hershberger in Los Angeles. She also says that she tries not to heat style it too much, relying mostly on beach spray like Pantene Aqua Light for subtle waves.

As for her skin and makeup routine, Cat keeps it clean. She gets regular facials and peels at the office of Beverly Hills, CA dermatologist Harold Lancer, MD, and counts an eyelash curler and lip gloss as her makeup-bag musts.

What do you think of her transformation? Better or boring?
