Perricone MD Photo Plasma Smells Like a Winner

As a fair-skinned redhead, applying sunscreen is as routine for me as brushing my teeth. Whenever I hear of a new sunscreen product, I’m usually the first one in line to try it. So you can imagine my excitement when one of my favorite skin-care lines, Perricone MD, makes an offering into the world of sun protection.
Perricone MD Photo Plasma ($69) is an anti-aging moisturizer and sunscreen all rolled up in one. It has a broad spectrum SPF 30 from Titanium Dioxide that guards against UVA and UVB damage. It’s also formulated with vitamin C ester and Alpha Lipoic Acid that helps brighten the skin and smooth the surface.
I have to admit that when I first opened up the jar, the pale pink color of the cream was a little intimidating. The color actually comes from the Astaxanthin, a powerful anti-oxidant. I imagined that I would end up with a pinkish tint on my face. But I was proven wrong when I applied it. Its lightweight whipped texture immediately absorbed into my skin with no trace and it didn’t feel tacky or greasy at all.One of my favorite parts about this cream is that it doesn’t smell like sunscreen. So to have a product that feels and protects as great as this one and also doesn’t compete with my perfume is automatically a winner in my book.
