With a sixth sequel to the high-voltage, action-packed “The Fast and the Furious” hitting theaters, we can certainly expect to see the stunning Jordana Brewster out and about at premieres and other red-carpet events. She will undoubtedly look gorgeous and as we learned in our NewBeauty Spa+ interview, Jordana won’t have to do anything different to get ready for the influx of red-carpet photos. “I like to be consistent so I don’t have to freak out about a red carpet event or photo shoot,” she reveals, among her other secrets for staying in shape.
Fast and Furious Routine
Dedication to an intense routine is the key to Jordana’s flawless figure. “I work out five days a week. I like interval training on the treadmill—side shuffles, walking at a fast pace on an incline and running. I also do strength training three times a week with my trainer Harley Pasternak. I’ve also noticed the benefits and necessity of slowing down and learned Vedic meditation.”
For those who have a hard time establishing a fitness routine, Jordana has a few suggestions. “If you like the outdoors, don’t force yourself to go to the gym. Instead, buy a pedometer and go on a hike. Buy cute gym outfits every once in a while to stay motivated. I love to go to Nike and treat myself to the latest running gear. And music—it’s so important to have a fun, inspirational playlist to work out to. If you are working out on cardio equipment, bring fun magazines to read.”
Jordana also balances her work out routine with eating healthy. “I follow the 5 Factor diet, which contains a mix of healthy fat, protein and fiber in each meal. I also eat every three to five hours so I’m never famished. It’s easy to stay satisfied because I’m not depriving myself of my favorite food: carbs!”
Jordana has some healthy favorites when it comes to snacks. “I like popcorn (made using olive oil) with cheese, apples or peaches with Greek yogurt, whole grain tortillas with low-fat cheese and beans, and Kashi Go-Lean bars.”
