Wear Killer Shoes Without Killing Your Feet
By Marissa Hicken |
When I get dressed for work in the morning and look at all the shoes in my closet I envision what the shoes will look like with my outfit and then I envision how my feet will feel after an eight-hour (plus) workday. Some days my decision is based on style alone and other days I just can’t bare to think about my feet screaming or worse, bleeding. And let’s face it, many times, the cuter the shoe, the more painful it is. But thanks to a recent find, I can happily wear any of my shoes, blister-free, a whole workday-long.
Sole Goddess ($19) looks like a big lip balm (it’s about the size of a glue stick), but it’s actually a foot balm (you apply it to your foot the same way you would apply lip balm to your lips) that protects your feet from developing blisters from uncomfortable shoes. The formula, which doesn’t stain or damage shoes, is inspired by the sports sticks that marathon runners use to prevent chafing. But does it work?
I know, it sounds too good to be true. I thought so too. But once I tried it, I was pleasantly surprised. My most painful (and prettiest) shoes caused no harm and I could wear them as long as I needed to. After all, shoes are meant to be worn.
Never again do I have to worry about carrying around a pair of trusted flats for when I can no longer stand my barking dogs. No more saving the cute shoes for special occasions or carrying Band-Aids in my bag and most importantly, no more painful, lingering blisters. Sole Goddess has me and my tootsies covered.
I highly recommend Sole Goddess—even if you just store it in your glove box or purse for that inevitable on-the-go emergency when your comfiest shoes lose their comfort.
