New and Noteworthy: Bite's Honey Lip Lacquers
By Anna Jimenez, Editorial Video Director |
We couldn’t blame you if you had a slight urge to lick these new lip glosses by Bite right off your lips. And while you potentially could—the formula is 99 percent natural—you wouldn’t have much luck anyway, as each gloss is water-resistant to ensure long-lasting shine.
Bite's Honey Lip Lacquers ($24) come in eight perfectly pout-worthy shades and are pigmented like lipsticks, yet smooth like honey. The formula, made with manuka honey harvested from bee pollen on the manuka plant, is extra glossy and moisturizing thanks to honey's humectant properties.
Honey has recently become a popular ingredient in beauty, as it delivers abundant benefits both for your body and your skin. In addition to anti-microbial properties, honey acts as a natural hydrator that boosts the skins ability to retain moisture. This means your lips will stay luscious and supple all throughout the day with this lip lacquer.
Along with honey, the lacquers contain castor and jojoba oils as well as Bite's signature ingredient, resveratrol—a chemical found in the skin of grapes, or as you may know it, in red wine. It is said to have anti-aging abilities, like fine line and wrinkle smoothing, due to its high antioxidant properties as well.
