We already know that most of us are suckers for flashy packaging. Hey, sometimes it's okay to judge a book by its cover as long as it looks good on the shelf, right? Packages aside, do you also have a weak spot for creative products names?
According to a study by the University of Oregon, it turns out that many women base their purchasing decisions off of product names. Color names aside, the study reveals most women chose shades that were related to food, sex and romance. Does the best-selling NARS Orgasm Blush ($28) ring a bell with anyone?
Some other favorites are OPI's Pistol Packin' Pink, M.A.C.'s Hot Tahiti, and Essie's To Buy or Not to Buy. It's fun to be able to say an interesting name when people ask you what you're wearing and seems to make it more exciting.
